Green Goodness Smoothie with Vital Whey Protein

March 9, 2022 • Leave a Comment

This post was created in partnership with Well Wisdom and Vital Whey protein, however the recipe and views expressed here are my own.

Whenever training gets intense or I feel like I’m fighting off some sort of bug I always reach for the blender at breakfast time. Making smoothies is such a quick and easy way to get so many essential nutrients, especially when your body is doing double time trying to repair and recover either from a hard effort or from illness.

Quality Counts

So often we focus on all the adding and toppings to our smoothies and smoothie bowls, but fail to recognize that the quality of our smoothie is only as good as the protein powder we put in it. Which is one of the reasons why I like Well Wisdom’s Vital Whey, 100% grass-fed protein powder. Not only is the powder derived from milk that is from cows that have been pasture grazed year-round, but it is also free of GMOs, hormones, pesticides and chemicals. These are the building blocks of a quality protein that will provide repair muscles.

One of the things I love about Vital Whey is the bendable, smooth texture: there’s no grittiness and it doesn’t have that artificially-sweet after-taste that so many protein powders have. I blended mine into a Green Goodness smoothie.

Green Goodness Smoothie

12 oz. water

2 scoops Vital Whey Vanilla Protein

Handful baby spinach

1/2 cup frozen avocado

1 cup frozen mango

1 inch fresh ginger finely chopped

place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth

Quick Facts on Vital Whey

  • 100% grass fed whey protein
  • highest level of amino acids for 9 out the 18 amino acids.
  • the highest level of 2 out of 3 of the Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA), which help synthesize protein
  • minimally processed using a single pasteurization and never undergoes acid treatment, micro-filtration or ion exchange. This provides you with undenatured protein loaded with amino acids and bio-available protein.

Whatever flavors you like to add into your smoothies, it’s worth looking into your protein source and making sure it is actually delivering the nutritional punch you want it to. Vital Whey is a great choice for quality, sustainably sourced protein.

What is your favorite smoothie flavor?
