Run with It: Sanity on the Treadmill

February 22, 2022 • 3 Comments

If you’re anything like me, you probably dread the treadmill. It can be so difficult to stay sane when you’re going nowhere and staring at the same scenery. I like to mix up my treadmill runs by varying the pace and incline-a good show helps too.

On this “Run with It” round up we’re sharing treadmill workouts and tips to help you stay sane.

My 30 minute workout will take you through two tough 10K and 5K paced intervals, with a recovery jog and then two 5 minute segments at half marathon pace. The whole workout is a bit like a tempo workout, and your heart rate will be somewhat similar, but there’s enough variation to keep things interesting.

Check out these treadmill workouts that will keep things interesting:

I have to have a workout plan with lots of speed changes for the treadmill, otherwise I lose my mind. Pinning this one for my next gym run!

I like this workout a lot! A variety of paces and inclines are necessary - I dread it also without the changing scenery.

Awww, I’m not feeling the treadmill love! I do truly love my treadmill and think it’s such a great resource to have. I run on it 4 - 5 days a week in the winter, in the early morning. I keep really entertained because we have a TV for it, so I get to catch up on all of shows or movies/Netflix.
